Engine noise

Hey Guy's being new to these machines I have a question, at idle it seems like I here more engine sounds than exhaust sound, does not run hot, runs great in fact, I am hoping I am just so used to the quiet of new cars, as far as engine noise, that is what I'm hearing, perhaps just the resonance off the aluminum headers?? valve train and so on??? checked for exhaust leaks and did not find any and I am using those expensive locking bolts.
Thanks in advance for your help and opinions!!!:3DSMILE:

Hi Gordon. Betcha got some of them new fangled high dollar roller rockers. If you do, there's yer noise. Personally, I don't call it noise. I kinda like the sound they make. But I'm a strange puppy anyway.:3DSMILE:

Beautiful Bakersfield ?????? Almost as nice as the resort of Oildale or Shafter.......
If you have a solid lifter cam be sure to check your valve clearences often.. Set them a little tighter maybe .008 to .010 to
help quiet them down a little. Also Run a Carbon fiber valve cover which will insulate noise rather than resonate like steel or aluminum.Wrap your headers under the hood with thermo wrap.
Still to noisy ? Switch to a hyraulic roller cam and stock ford valve train.Check your compression. ( No more than 5% between highest and lowest cylinder )
