Importing

Can anyone tell me what would be required to import a car into Canada?

It would be cheaper for you to move to the US...hahahah sorry... I have a friend check into it once. It was a 5K porsche and it was going to cost about 3K to get it over the border.... I cant say that I saw the paperwork but... Good luck...

If you're thinking of legally importing a completed Cobra, forget it. For kits, it's also dicey, and depends on the stage of completion in terms of how many parts are included, as well as company's history with our friends at the federal Dept. of Transportation.

There are cars within Canada for sale, and quality runs the continuum from poor to pristine. There are also several Canadian manufacturers.

Good luck with your research.....

Hi:

I am not sure if I am doing this right on the response thing.I guess I'll find out. I wanted to reply directly to the good folks who responded to me. Oh well. So far thank you for the info. I would like to know where to look in Canada. Sounds like typical federalie, bureaucratic b______t!

Thank you again.
