Factory Five Racing Daytona Coupe #16 for sale

as some of you guys know i just picked this car up a couple months ago. It actually exceeded my expectations. However, the Lotus Elise that i have on order is coming in earlier than i thought and i am buying a new house so i have decided the Cobra is just not right for me right now. I got a great deal on it and would be happy to pass the good deal onto someone else and just get back what i have in it. This is the car that's in the FFR video and lots of their literature. It is one of the nicest coupes out there and has top notch parts all around. It even comes with an extra set of the super expensive Simmon's wheels with race tires on them.

The car just made a 400 mile trip from san fransisco to los angeles no problem. It drives very very well. It is SB100 registered in CA so will be easily registered without hassles.

You are looking at a sexy and very fast Factory Five Cobra Daytona Coupe. It has the following:

351W/300HP at the wheels with brand new pistons, rings, bearings, balanced 9.5:1 Competition roller cam.

Trick Flow heads and valve covers

MSD Pro Billet Distributor and wires

Holley Avenger carburetor

FMS Headers into Flowmaster mufflers.

HP6 remote filter and oil cooler all with braided lines throughout.

March billet pulleys and polished alternator

Heater and A/C system, that’s right air conditioning.

Dual NASCAR MSD 6al ignition boxes with switching unit.

Custom paint job with period correct markings and racing decals.

New Full independent suspension designed to offer Street/Competition use.

Race type chassis with full roll cage and all aluminum sub-frame panels.

New Tremec road race transmission into a new FMS aluminum rear 3.77 pumpkin.

Speedway engineering sway bars front and rear

Two sets of Simmon's modular wheels, 17 X 9 fronts, 17 X 12's rear. One set of 275 & 315 Sumitomo street tires (new) and one set of 275 & 335 Kumho V700 track tires (new).

Wildwood 6 piston calipers superlights in the front on 13" drilled and slotted rotors and 4 piston wilwoods on 11" drilled and slotted rotors in the rear. Wilwood triple master cylinder pedal box installed. Lokar parking brake with Wilwood spot calipers in the rear.

Kirkey road race seats with RJS Cam-lock harnesses.

Momo steering wheel and shifter boot.

Autometer white phantom gauges and MSD shift light.

Honda S2000 starter button along with Moroso switch panel

Carbon Fiber doors

A lot of custom aluminum fabrication done.

Interior is carpeted with soundproofing material added

This vehicle was Dyno tuned in January of 2003 and was documented with 303 HP and 293 ft. pds. of torque at the rear wheels!!!!

This car handles like it is on rails and the acceleration, well it will outrun Dodge Vipers. Factory Five says its capable of runs in the 11,s in the quarter mile with this power.

This is the car Factory Five carted all over the country to show the public what was possible with their kit. So they went all out on this vehicle. Most people use a Mustang donor car for the suspension, brakes, motor etc… They used only brand new components on this showpiece. The Indpendent suspension alon was over $2000. Go to WWW.FACTORYFIVE.COM and check prices for yourself. While your there look carfully at the photos of # 16 it’s the same car I have for sale here.

Steve,

Is that Daytona still for sale?

I'm in Australia, but am interested in your's subject to importing issues etc.

I have a friend who imports Jap cars so will seeking his advise over the next few days.

Currently own a roadster, but looking for something a "little" different!

Regards the Elise - amazingly quick, but beware if driving when wet. I have first hand experience of what happens when you loose one - not nice!

the car is still available. i have no idea what the import/export rules are but have no probablems dropping it off at a nearby port as long as we take care of all the payment issues first.

Let me know if you figure out how to make it work. Maybe the weak dollar will help you a bit.
