Superformance #1230 for sale!
 

It's time for my next project ('65/66 Mustang Fastback), so the Superformance is going up for sale. I may come to my senses and decide not to sell it, but for now, here's the details: (see my gallery for photos)

For Sale: Superformance 427SC Cobra #1230. Guardsman Blue / Wimbledon White stripes. Purchased in December 2001 from Reed Performance Motorsports. One owner, mint condition, Texas title. Under the hood: Houston Performance built 393 stroker motor. Includes Scat steel crank, forged H-beam rods, SRP forged 10.2:1 compression pistons, custom hydraulic roller camshaft (.595” lift) complemented by Edelbrock Victor Jr. heads and intake topped off by a Holley HP Series 750 carb. 505 horsepower and 500 ft. lbs of torque. Canton oil pan, ceramic coated headers, MSD Pro Billet distributor and 6AL ignition, polished stainless expansion tank, and 5-speed Tremec TKO transmission.

In the cockpit: Smiths gauges, authentic steering wheel, 5 pt. safety belts, chrome fire extinguisher, side mirror, visors, chrome rollbar, soft top, tonneau cover, car cover, knock off wheels, Bilstein coil-over adjustable shocks and Wilwood racing brakes.

I've seen alot of old Mustangs, but I don't see you in any of them. Keep the Cobra and $ave up for the Mustang.

Jim - It could end up that way. Truth is I could buy the right Mustang now, but I don't have the storage for it. Damn two car garage!

Just an update here. I've had pretty decent interest on the car, but no action yet. I've talked to buyers in state and out of state, but none from the Northeast ( I understand, who wants to buy a Cobra now just to store it for the winter?). Anyhow, SPF #1230 is still for sale, but I have no problem keeping it unitl next summer. The truth is, the next few months are the best time to drive these things in Houston!
