Cobra/Shelby Art FS
1 Attachment(s)
Hello, my first post on this forum. Anyway, I'm a huge muscle car fan, always was, always will be. I'm currently building a 347 Stroker and am deciding to either get a kit Cobra, or restore a '65-'66 fastback into a Shelby clone to put it in. Well, to do all this I need income, of course. I work full time as a designer for an engineering firm but it's not enough, especially while I'm part time in school. So for joining this forum, I hope to learn as much as I can. So, back to the funds. I'm also a sketch artist working in pencil/charcoal/ink to do a car print. I just finished a '68 GT 500 KR that I did for a friend and former co-worker who has an original, unrestored 500 just like it. I recently did a '68 AMX, and am currently working on a '63 Studebaker Avanti for another client. Would anyone be interested in a custom sketch of their Cobra or other favorite car? I offer prints for $20 or originals, signed and authenticated for under $60 shipped. All I would need is your favorite photo mailed (and returned to you), or a digital photo. I'm attaching the 500 I did to this post. I also hope I put this in the right place on this forum. If interested, please ask questions, or email me directly at dwhite645@yahoo.com Thanks for looking! Note: I posted this elsewhere on the forum, and it should probably go here. Thanks

Nice drawing
Don't have my car yet, but this would be nice once I get it. Do you do people very well ie if I was in the photo? Also, do you just do black & white, or do you do color as well?
Thanks and good luck! |
Thanks for your interest Weirhouse. Well, I only do black and white with pencil. I've done water color before, but it's hard to control. I'm also not very good with doing people, but since my sketches are 8.5 x 11, it might not be too bad. I'd give it a try if you'd like.

Here's a pic I took once framed and hung. Wanted to get a final shot before I hand this one over.

My ugly mug would just degrade the picture anyway, but maybe you could pencil in a naked Pamela Anderson type laying across the hood ;)
Well, first things first - I gots to get me a car for you to draw! Thanks! |
Sounds good to me! In the mean time, I've got some WWII vehicles to draw for an upcoming show in Auburn Indiana. Maybe I'll post some of them when they're done.

In the meantime I thought of a nice title for my drawing above with Pamela on the car. It's "Three nice replicas" ;-)
