Selecting a new Cobra Builder
I am interested in having a new Cobra and Engine specified and built, and have narrowed my decision down to an Alum Kirkham, or a fiberglass Superformance. What (other than cost differences of course) should I be considering?, and who in Southern California can build me a great big block engine with California registration assistance? I previously owned a "basic" Cobra in the early 90's and now wish to graduate to a "high level setup". Any and all feedback is appreciated. Thanks!

How about Sac?
How about Sacramento? It feels like Southern California now that Arnold is in town!
You might try FE Specialties here in Sac. His specialty is FE's obviously, however I have seen 460's & 351's in there. He builds a very stout engine for a good price. jdog:cool: P.S. No I don't get any kick-backs or anything. Toms is just a nice guy and builds a fine engine. |
Make sure you purchase the car and engine from separate companies. Have the install billed separate as well to avoid any registration problems.

Thanks for the feedback. Any more? How about the differences between the 496 Shelby, 427 and 428?

$$$
The price$
jdog:p P.S. If you stick with a vintage 1960's block, you will have more options when it comes to registration. 65 and older = no smog! |
