Anyone know this car?

Hi Folks,

Is anyone is at all familiar with this car currently on ebay?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6465

Any information or pertinent comments you'd care to share would be most appreciated.

These darned FIA cars just keep catching my eye!!**)

TIA

Best regards,
Doug

Car was offered on CobraCountry in Dec 2002.

It is a very nice looking car.

Nice looking Frame, Build, etc. I wish it was Back east here!

Computerwerks graciously provided steerage to this bit of helpful info:

http://www.cobracountry.com/cobra4sa...rgent-Hi-Tech/

A quick comparison of photos shows a new/different carb-air cleaner setup and a change in how the 3 indicator lights under the dash are mounted.

It also appears this car has sat still A LOT in it's lifetime (75 miles in 2002 to 350 now!)

Yep it shore is purdy though! :3DSMILE:

I emailed the seller... waiting for a response.

Regards,
Doug

Weeeew. At least it wasn't pictures of my car again! It's pretty scarey when you see your car for sale on Ebay like what happened to me a few months ago.

Yes, it is a local guy's car here in NorCal. I think it actually looks much better in person than it does in these pictures in this eBay listing. Leaf spring front end. A finatically detailed Hi-Tec in every way.

Thanks to all of you for the replies!

Sorry Chuck, I didn't mean to scare you!

And to Joelafives;
As much as I like 289 FIA's I'm not married to the idea of owning only a FIA. As nice as this one may be, the bidding is rapidly approaching a figure where the car competes head-on with LOTS of other nice cars.**)

If you're REALLY interested in the car tell me. I'll cheerfully pull the plug. Currently there are a lot of ringside seats at the rodeo. If I don't get this one, honestly it's no big whoop. I'll find me another.:MECOOL:

Best regards,
Doug

Looking at the thread from Cobra Country I see the car is registered in CA as a 64 Ford. If you have followed the registration woes, many of which have been posted here, you know this is a problem. The state calls this "fraud". Nice looking car, but maybe thats why it only has 75 miles in 2 years! Just a word to the wise.
