My Superformance is going to new home in Omaha, NE
Just sold my Superformance, SPF1649, earlier today to a very nice gentleman from Omaha, Nebraska. Looks like my car is going to a good home. I have pampered this car since I bought it new last year and I know that Matthew will take good care of it.
Spoke with Rich Lacy of Lacy Transport today and the car will be picked up sometime in the next 10 days or so. Now onto my next Cobra????? |

Here it is. Enjoy it Matt

What is that color?
Great looking car |
Superformance Color
The color is Viper Steel Gray Metallic and silver stripes. The overall quality in this shot is the result of the light conditions and time of day.
|
Great looking car! Why did you sell it?
|
Why?
I will be ordering another Cobra. Specifics have not been determined yet but I think it will be a street version with undercar exhaust and solid color with no stripes.
Color yet to be determined. |
Juan:
You sold your car:eek: I can't believe that you did not consult with your family before getting rid of it  J.A. |
Why?
The sale of the car was a New Year's resolution. I want a street roadster with solid color. I need another Cobra with new photo opportunities.
I am not going the Porsche route, just another Cobra. You will like it. |
I remember seeing the first SPF made in this color combo. Dean Rosen @ Dynanic Motorsports and the guys at D&M Auto in Chicago came up with the idea (the guys @ D&M sell a lot of Vipers) and I happened to be in Ross at Dynamic when it came in. From the 1st time I laid eyes on it, it has stuck in my mind as one of the most eye catching, gorgeous color combos I've ever seen on a Cobra.
The picture really doesn't do it justice because of the shadows. You really have to see it in person to appreciate it. The new owner got a heck of a car. I remember seeing it on Cobra Country and thought it was a good buy. He'll have plenty of fun with that beauty! |
Terry you are right about the photo not doing it justice a good stab very nice combination. His and Sam's car together a just an awesome combo but Batman & Robin are no more:JEKYLHYDE .
New Years Resolutions made while under the influence of a foreign substance do not count... maybe coersion form spouses might work but I think your wife had too much fun riding in the car. :3DSMILE: Why don't you save on the cobra and get the Z06. Turk was right about the specs. It is going to be one bad mother. Everything the cobra is now + windows + roof + a/c & heat + 200 mph capability if you can find a place to use it. All for about the same price as quality cobra replica but the real trick will be getting one. Just like the Ford GT limited production. Can you say stakeout on I-65:LOL: : Juan, call me tomorrow and fill me in on the details if you can. J.A. |
Juan, I saw your car in Lexington this past summer, and I agree with the rest, the color is wonderful. So, are you going with a Brock Coupe? (Don't go to the dark side, stay away way away from the C06 Z06...to the bone ugly. And if most Vette nuts were honest, they'd say the same thing about the C6 too, even if the Z06 is a little better, and this spoken by a former Vette addict. Of course, everyone's got an opinion here....) Anyway, glad you are moving to the car of your choice. I am headed for SPF #2080 to be delivered at Dynamic in March. Can't wait. I talked with Peter Brock about the Coupe, but having never owned the MK III, I just gotta go that route for me. The Coupe is definitely a hell of a car however.

Why?
After much thought about purchasing a Brock Coupe I decided for a street version of the roadster.
I actually was seriously thinking about buying a Unique Motorcars FIA, very nice car but the overall price was too high for me to have it built as a Turnkey car so I decided to go for the street version of the roadster. |
Congrats on selling your car. My superformance chassis (#2022)arrived and the local boys are finishing up installing one of Eric's special Performance Engineering motors. Should be done and ready to go in a week or so. I'll send you pictures when completed. Regards,

New toy
Hi Arthur:
Congrats on your new toy. Please post some pictures when you get your new Superformance. |
Hey cool! Another Roadster lover. I've got a solid red one with the roll bar. Are you going to get the hood scoop, roll bar? And what engine are you thinking?
|
Juan, what is a street version of the Roadster? I am under the impression that your former car is streetable too. Thanks for the education.

Street version roadster
Under car exhaust, no hood scoop, no rivets, no roll bar.

Froggyman, I think Doug Reed in New Orleans has a SPF street roadster in his possession. Can't remember much but I think it has the underslung exhausts, hard top, A/C and a few other goodies. Might be worth a call to him 504 271 2013
He is the Deep South SPF dealer. Mark |
