Wondering how many guys are running 390's they think are "side oilers"? More than a few I bet.
I have no clue what this e-bay car is running, but I'd check it real close and would NOT "assume" it's a side oiler. He only states it is a 427 FE, could be a center oiler, close but no cigar in my book. For $115K it better be oiling from the side! :D |
4212 for sale
I spoke to the owner. I found him to be a bit pushy and not completely informed. He knows he has a csx car. He shopped around for several months. He says he cannot fit in the car but the auction says he has to pay for a new boat. Who knows what is the truth. He says he has not dyno'd the engine, but he claimed it had a full race 427, and that race car parts were all over the car. I don't think the car will sell on e bay. And frankly, metal CSX owners/buyers ..for the most part want to build their own cars or, buy cars with absolutely no stories. I think I will wait and see what happens. 428 or 427....no pic of data plate = a story of some kind to me.
