Car still 4-sale?
|
Hey Bullitt,
I bought the car in the dead of winter and my wife agravated me about it so I tried to sell it. I got a few of the Nigerian scammers calling and big block, side pipe guys beating up on me for a couple of months so I gave up on selling it. Next thing you know I started spending more time with it and I really fell in love all over again. Thanks for asking and if I could mention one thing , Please don`t get side pipes. Thanks, John T |
Congratulations John...you passed the test.

i'm starting the "process". i'm leaning FIA small-block setup rather than BB/427 appreciate the learning. thx |
He was probably referring to the burns that are common to sidepipe equipped cars.

Sidepipes are dangerous, YES, BUT the MEAN, "in your face, don't mess with me appearance (and sound)" they give a cobra is well worth the risk. IMO:o)
|
I should not be so opinionated but at 45 years old they just get on my nerves after 16 minutes. I had very loud pipes on my Harley but they were not as close to my ears and I like them. My Cobra has a super lopey intoxicating idle and is loud as hell when you put your foot into it. Perfect.

Hi John,
Just a quick note to say that I really like your Cobra! It's not often we see a 427 model without Hood Scoop, Side Pipes and Roll Bar. And without the stripes, it looks more refined, more like a gentlemen than a brute. Very attractive. I take it that the small block does well without the hood scope. I showed your pics to my wife, and she liked it as well (and this is from a woman who made it a requirement for me to have 2 rolls bars, not just the traditional one!). I didn't see a pic of the dash - do you have the SC Dash or Roadster Dash? Great looking Cobra, John. I'm glad you've fallen back in love with it! Regards, Randy R... |
Thanks for the compliments Randy..........You know I have been in the car business just about my whole life ...I grew up looking at MGs , Austin Healys, that is probably why I went for that look. I`ll tell you something else, I have driven just about everything and I have not found anything more exciting to drive than the Cobra
Also, I sent you a PM John T |
