2001 Unique 427 Oklahoma
I bought this car in May of 2004 and would prefer to keep it. Unfortunately, the costs on my new house have risen more than expected (DAMN HURRICAINES), and I am forced to let go of my baby.

The car is stunning, runs strong and has no mechanical defects. The paint has the normal wear and tear for a car with 5500 miles with a few rock chips here and there. The car is titled as a 1965 Ford Roadster and comes with a Wolf car cover. Below is the link to the original listing from two years ago. You’ll notice the price I paid was $39,750. I’ve knocked off $1750 because of my location and the slight mileage difference. For someone looking for a great car at a heck of a price, this is the one. I'll be posting some new pics maybe this weekend to show the car as it sits today. Trust me, it is identical to the pictures on the link below. VIN # available upon request. http://www.bdpmotorsports.com/427%20...For%20Sale.htm Chris Hitch (580) 338-8575 work (580) 468-4455 home (806) 339-2993 cell |
Chris
I wish you live in the Bay area CA, I am looking for a cobra locally TC_SJ |
Understood. I had to drive two hours, catch a flight to Dallas, stay with some relatives and then look at the car. Reverse the process home and then had to wait something like a week for the car to actually show up on the transporter. Talk about the little kid the night before Christmas syndrome. It about killed me. Good luck on your hunt.

Hey there Chris. Buzz here, the guy that could not get there in time to buy your car before you did 2 years earlier! Hate to see you have to let her go, but I am sure you had fun while you had her on the road.

Hey Buzz.
Just so you know...I didn't get to drive the car but about 200 miles the first year I had her. Right after I bought the car, Oklahoma decided to chip and seal the highway right in front of my house. In OK here's how that is accomplished. They get 400,000,000 cubic yards of gravel and dump it haphazardly onto the road suface and spray oil all over it, high five and then go drink beer. It was August before the car ventured out of the garage and then corn harvest hit which means about 200 semi's rolling down the road in front of my house a day. I cried and put it up for the season since winter followed right after. So more or less, I had to wait a year before I actually got to drive it much at all. Being first doesn't always work out the best hehe. Good to hear from ya! Chris |
no new pics
Sorry folks.
It started raining here about noon on Saturday and hasn't stopped yet so I didn't get any pics of the car taken this weekend. I'm not complaining since the Texas panhandle is/was on fire and we were worried that it might burn clear to here. Anyway, this weekend looks like it should clear up and I'll get some shots taken and posted then. Thanks for looking. Chris |
Make, Modle and year of the title please?
|
letitbe asked:
"Make, Modle and year of the title please?" From the title year- 1965 Make- Ford Body type- RD Model- RD Odometer- exempt Type of title- Classic Original I hope this helps. New pics of the car should be up this week. That is, if I can figure out how to load them. Chris edit: The car IS a 2001 Unique Motorcars Cobra replica. I know the guy down at the DMV so I managed to get a classic car title. This helped me for 2 reasons. 1. Tags are like $25. 2. Classic cars are not required to meet all the same smog/safety issues that a new car has to meet (not to imply that the car is unsafe). I don't know if that is the same where ever you are. |
OK Some Pics Finally!

More stuff
The car is getting fresh rubber on all 4 corners. One tire was pretty well used up from being out of alignment prior to me purchasing the car so I'm replacing all the tires so they'll be even and match.
The car is still priced at $38,000 |
are you needing to sell urgently. I am looking for a car around this price and wish to take to new zealand. Logisticly it makes it difficult for me as I seem to miss out because of the timeframes involved
|
Urgently, no. But I'll be selling on a first come first served basis. If you're first to make an offer, then you'll take the car.

????????
Is this the car that Dick built? If so please let me know.
Jay |
Yes it is, if you're referring to Dick Flesher

All four wheels aligned. New oil pan. The old one had some scrapes and dents in it.
Willing to talk about throwing in free delivery to get this car to move. $38,000 Chris |
It has come to my attention that some people are having trouble looking at the pictures I put in this thread. Well, I'm trying (in vain thus far) to load some pictures to my profile. So far, I've managed to get one picture of my speedometer and that's it. Not sure what I'm doing wrong but will keep trying.
