Problems Registering Replicas In California?
I recently moved to California from the east coast. I sold my Cobra before I left because I heard it's a nightmare trying to register a replica in the state of California unless you have the thing documented to the nth degree.
Any clarification on that? If I was to buy a completed car (I don't care to go through the build-up again at this time), exactly WHAT documentation do I need to make sure the seller gives me? Thanks! Snake-Eyes,
To make your life simple, just buy a car that is already registered in California and has SB-100 documentation. No problem in title transfer and never a smog check. SkipB |
Good advice...may cost you a few more bucks. But time spent driving your Cobra is better than time sitting at the DMV, CHP and BAR. I titled a Cobra purchased in Nevada. Took some time and a lot of patients but once I had the SP100 it was a piece of cake. Good luck!
