Therre's a reason the last sale happend so quick and so many guys were wringing their hands over not bein' able to move on it. The price for this one is more in line with the norm for a K car. :)

And the reason would be....?

Way too high for a Kirkham even with every option Kirkham offers with their roller, except for the polishing, which this car obviously doesn't have. A shelby Aluminum or a VERY nice Shelby plastic car with options might bring that, but out of the ball park for a Kirkham, IMHO. The seller is dreaming.

Not to debate semantics but I simply said it is "more in line". Polishing or painting - about the same cost, and this one is painted, built by McClusky, and has an aluminum 427. A K-car for $60 k is not the norm. Price out just the parts for one from their website. Add motor from a reputable builder. Add transmission. And the answer is?

There's a lot of other people also wondering what the reason was. Here is the original thread.

To over simplify, a car is worth what someone will pay you for it. If the seller can get close to $98,000, more power to him.

Hmm - not closed yet, however...that $60k figure might be sticking (of course 2 sales doesn't make a market)

Please limit posts in the Cobras For Sale Forum to specific questions about the car for sale, directed to the seller.

At $59,995, I should have bought it as a spares car.

No one except die-hard Shelby continuation partisans (no, Evan, you don't need to jump in here) would argue that this price is anywhere near the market.

An aluminum CSX car sold on cobracountry for 80K in January of this year, much like the recent 60K Kirkham ,both were steals, neither set the market. sorry Ron.
