What a nice mustang! Why not just keep it and buy a
Cobra also? You will regret letting that car go.

Rich,
THanks, it really is a nice mustang. I would love to keep it AND have a COBRA, and My wife actually agrees with you. I blame it all on this websight. It has taken what was an appreciation for anything FORD powered to an obssession with the pinnacle of FORD performance. I would love to get a COBRA before next spring and trading out the mustang seems like the quickest route right now.

If you let the gal in pic # 2 go with the car, you'll get more interest in the trade reallllllllllll quick........

PS; reallly nice car..........you'll probably live to regret getting rid of the Fastback..............

What value are you placing on the 65 2+2 Mustang fastback?

I'd actually be interested in working a deal for the Fairlane. Is the Fairlane on the market?

Dan- I've got a ERA FIA that is in a unfinished state. I also have a 66 Fastback so I know of your "decisions"!! Give me a PM if you have interest. I'm sitting on the fence myself and might be tempted. Where are you located? Let me know. Thanks, Matt.

MrMustang, I guess the value I would place on the mustang depends on whether or not it is involved in a trade or not. If I am able to trade out and up towards a high quality cobra I hope to take advantage that the other party will give me a high quality value for my car also.. I really hate to try and sell it outright only to be deluged by bargain hunters and dorks who have no idea how much time and work it takes to find, restore or build a car whatever the case may be.
I have only had the car in two shows. Won judges choice award in the first. In the second I was approached by someone from silverauctions.com about a private sale for a customer. We discussed $28,000. He has called me twice and left messages. We have not discussed what his fees may be. I have a few more pictures if your interested let me know.

I've got an ERA and a 65 Fastback GT (A Code). If you can do it, keep the mustang and go for the ERA too. You'll be happy you did.

However, if you can get $28k for the car and you're not emotionally attached jump on the deal. You'll be ahead of the current market.

Cashburn, sorry the fairlane is not on the market at this time. It belongs to a friend of mine. The car is a 1966 GT 390 4 speed and just won 1st at Fairlane nationals in Reno this year.
