Indy Mustang Performance

Any one used indy mustang performance engines? They appear to be a good value but I do not want to get bit by the classic 'if it appears to good to be true, it is!'

Specifically I was looking at the #2125357 engine which is a 351 windsor with world products windsor sr heads.

Thanks for your help.

Indy Mustang is currently building my complete drive(351W 350HP,T5,clutch,ect) for my cobra. It should be shipped in a few weeks. Do a search on club cobra on Indy and you will get good feedback. You are right, you can't beat his prices! B&B uses Indy as one of their engine builders for their turnkey cars. Good luck! Len

How did your IndyMustang engine work out? Was it good quality? Does it run good? I would really like to know. I have already placed a deposit on a 428FE.

Uh, guys, you might want to take a look at this thread... http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/show...threadid=17992

Yeah, I read that post earlier. Not a good thing. Does anyone have a Indy Mustang engine they are happy with? I had read two good posts before I decided to go with Indy. I started seeing the bad stuff after. I have talked to Jim today and told him I will be inspecting every part and I want the engine dynoed before delivery (I will pay for this of course). I really don't know what to do. I will keep you all informed. Hopefully everything will turn out good.

I see one person has had a issue with Jim at indy performance. I would like to say I only had on eissue with JIm. Time. It took him a long time to build my motor but man it was worth the time. He said he would give me a 450+ hp 396 sbf. I in fact got a 552RWHP motor from him and love it. It performs great and has had no issues at all. He under estimates his stuff and he puts everything he said in the kits. Thanks Jim. P.S I have it in a Cobra from auto resolutions and it's weight is 2010 me in it. Good combo. I would recommend indy to all cobra people. Put vic Jr. heads ported + intake and 850 holly, 560+/310 cam and 12.25.1 pistons and it will be streetable and unbeatable. All From Indy Mustang Performance.

Just curious. How can you tell?

Multiple posts in the classifieds by a user with no posts who happens to be in the Indianapolis area code. Did a google search for the phone number and found an e-mail address that happens to reference back to posts on other forums for username Jim. The engines look the same except Red paint now instead of blue. I know, and engine looks like an engine, but if you look at how the paint is caked on. I think the reason he cakes the paint on is so that he does not need to clean them.

That's pretty impressive detective work. Thanks for looking out for us.

I noticed that as well%/
