Buyer/seller sends his truck SCAM

Good morning!
If you ever wonder how, shortly after you post your for sale (or wanted!) ad you get a reply from somebody who cannot look at the car and will send his truck to fetch. The web has more details how the scammers operate and I won't get into it. The essence is, a paypal or other payment instrument is used with buyer protection. Here is my latest offer. A (right hand drive) nascar like chassis Cobra from the US. The seller is 89 and needs to sell fast. The adress I was given and his IP address are totally different. Also, he didn't quite get that I am on another continent... |
Yup those scams are a dime a dozen these days.

Here’s another one:
You post something for sale. Potential buyer texts you and says that he has been scammed before by fraudulent sellers so please provide him with the security code that was just texted to your phone. Don’t do it! They use that code to steal your identity... |
