Dump kit for my F250
 

Looking to install a dump bed kit on my F250, anyone know who manufactures these?. I don't care for the slide-in box style, I like the no fabrication, bolt on type.

I saw this one on "trucks" don't know the price but i want one also

Ken, I didn't see any side-to-side stability with their system, looks like they use the
rear hinge?.

What will you be using it for?
 

I put one on my "rough n ready" '89 F-250 about 5 years ago. It was less than $1k from Northern tool. It is a bolt on or weld on type and I opted to bolt it on as I do not weld. The rear bumper will need to be welded on so I just left that off. I like to think I have a green thumb and spend a lot of time gardening and have enjoyed using it around the house for topsoil, mulch, firewood, etc.

However, I would not recommend putting it on a nice truck because there arew a few downsides... it makes the truck have a lot of squeeks and rattles. The gas tank filler hose needs to be cut out and relocated. But most of all it will be a dump truck and invariably start to look like one. Try northern here:

So for less than $1k and an older truck it will work great for the enthusiastic homeowner or even light duty landscaper but you should also consider the alternatives:

This is a super simple installation but pricy at about $2.5k and It is heavy which will eat up a portion of the trucks capacity.

Dump trailers-EZ dumper or Bri-Mar are two big names although I give the edge to bri-Mar. The entry level is a 5x8single axle 2 ton for around $2.5k or next size up is 4 ton 6x10 twinaxle for around
$4k.-this is the one I got last year but you really need to be an avid gardener to take advantage of all it can do. A big advantage with these is you leave it behind when you don't need it, but you need the space for parking.

Dirtrich, the trailer is what I'm trying to lose, I have an older 250 so the squeaks/
looks matter not.

yes it uses the hinge for side to side stability. as do ALL dump trucks
even the big 18 wheeler types.
For teh weekend warrior I will think it work just fine
