dennis does a brisk e-bay business.. anyway I bought an oil pan for my car, turns out it was too wide to get between the frame rails. I write him telling him it won't fit. I apologize for ending his auction (used buy it now) and offered to pay his listing and auction fees.. $8 no biggie.. I promised to include it in my next order as i had bought about $700. in FE parts in the past several months. He agrees :) no worries right?

Wrong, three weeks later I get a failure to pay notice from e-bay, generally those are reserved for scum that bid up an item and don't pay.. OK.. I contact dennis.. He !@#$%^&*()_ calls me every name in the book, threatening me, my family.. I had contacted him and that just two weeks prior we had agreed I would pay his fees.. It took that long because it was over Christmas. In the mean time he gives me negative feedback. I do the same.. Then it gets ugly..

He has got someone from Las Vegas calling me from a cell phone telling me he is coming after me.. Yea.. For $8.. Well not one to let smelly $hit lie I reported him ( I warned you it got ugly ) to the FBI for making terrorist threats.. (they were)

Anyway DSC Motorsports in Pennsylvania.. Dennis Carrinco (sic?) world class pu$$y.. **)

Mike -

You seem to have a problem with almost everyone you do business with.......

You must have the worst luck.

I think DSC Motorsports, Dennis Carrico, is one of your own, in CA and not in PA.

SCOBRAC 05-29-2003 08:51 PM

interesting...

The guy I dealt with was in PA.. www.dscmotorsport.com

I'm not sure what you mean Pat. I deal with thousands of people a month for one thing or another. I can only count on one hand the ones that get a free trip under the car if I see them in the street.. I think I have spent 25k on e-bay in 18 months.. seldom a hitch.

I just went back to look. Yea DSC is now in Southern Calif.. That makes it easier to keep an eye on him.. He sells really nice stuff.. I have lots of it.. I think he must have fallen off the wagon for the holidays..

Funny.. reading his website you would think he had been in So Cal for 40 years.. Nice website. Lets hope he stays off the sauce.

I purchased a new 427 FE style harmonic balancer from DSC Motorsports. The item looked great but required quite a bit of extra force to install. After installation I found that the timing marks were for a reverse rotation engine. I have created my own timing marks on the piece because I don't want to hassle with it's removal/replacement. I will be calling DSC soon to express my dissatisfaction. - Aggressor

I Have delt with Dennis on three E-BAY auctions. I am happy to say all three were good experiences. Fast shipping, quick e-mails, and the items were as described. Mabey I was just lucky, but he was in CA. then. Mabey something changed?????????????

Re: DSC Motorsports

Actually, the seller was most likely trying to get back his original listing fees. On ebay, when you fail to get paid for your auction, you must jump through hoops in order to get your listing fees back. One of those hoops happens to be a non paying bidder warning, then the last chance notice you got. After that, the seller gets his listing fees, and final value fees credited. You were the one who did not pay, offering to pay "just the listing fee", when the final value fee was greater was your own mistake. Wasting a weeks (or whatever the time was) worth of the sellers time was your second mistake.............If your going to bid on something on Ebay, you have to follow the terms of useage, otherwise, you get lumped in with all of the scumbags that bid and win, then don't pay, "just for the fun of it".................Granted, the seller pushed things too far, but with your "I did nothing wrong" attitude here, perhaps you pushed the wrong buttons with him first.......................

If you read my post bill you will see I offered to pay his fee's.. I actually offered to pay for the pan.. It wasn't until he went a little nuts that it got ugly. I offered to pay his fees that day after I realized the pan wouldn't fit.. I have pleanty of his stuff.. Maybe he thought I was Pat Buckley or someone else when he went nuts.

$8 or $80.. His reaction to a non problem was over the top. If I threatened your family I would expect you to hunt me down and kill me. or try..

The way I read it must be from a burned sellers point of view then............I'm still in the hole $178 for listing a "friend of a friends" Dually PU last year..Been burned on both ends of the equation before.........

I buy and sell tons of stuff on e-bay and I hate that.. The worst part is e-bay will pretty much do nothing to help.

I talked to a guy selling a 35k Shelby Mustang last night that had a guy "buy it now" and then claimed it was an accident.. O man..

PatBuckley 06-01-2003 09:32 AM

What exactly do you mean?
