Contemporary side pipes

To the Contemporary Owners

Can anyone tell me of a location where I can still purchase parts for Contemporary side pipes. I would like to be able to purchase just the section that slides onto the primary pipes then welds to the collector location. I am looking to purchase all 8 sections of the pipe.

Thank you

One of the CCX owners on here just sent me this

Tubular Automotive

They are in Conn. And can do anything out of anything. Great people to deal with.

Get the pipe and have Nick set you up with baffles, will be worth it.:)

Thanks for the info, Mickmate. I believe I spoke with Tubular Automotive reps this past Spring regarding my CCX FE headers/collectors. I believe they fabricated the originals for Contemporary and still can produce from original specs. Second on the rebaffling, I went with Mickmate's suggestion on Classic Chambered mufflers but done locally here in MI and they really woke up the engine!

Correction, Tubular Automotive is in Rockland MA same number listed. They did the headers for our latest Hot Rod project and have done a couple of projects for us, their work is fantastic!

Hi Rare Iron:
I replaced my original CCX mufflers with the 20" baffled Classic Chambered mufflers in the largest ID (for a street 428 FE) plus new turnouts. I grafted these on to the original collectors as it's explained on the Classic Chambered website. There was a noticable improvement in power with much better flow with no appreciable difference in A/F ratio. There was also a significant increase in noise levels over the originals, earplugs are required now. Overall, I'd not hesitate to do over, although I might look at a longer CC muffler (they advertise different lengths) to reduce the decibels.
BTW, Classic Chambered customer service was first rate.
Thanks,
Kirk
