Dropped foot box and pedals
I'm looking for a supplier for dropped footbox and pedals for my Contemporary. I haven't decided on fire wall or floor mounted pedals yet. I'm going to do undercar exhaust and don't have any of the pros and cons on pedal mounting yet. Any advice would be appreciated

REDMT - I recommend you chat with Nick Acton at Acton Custom Enterprises, LLC ( Acton Custom Enterprises Custom Metal for Cobra's) about floor mounted pedal arrangements. He has made a number of the floor mounted setup like the originals and they look great. Nick is pretty informative on providing you with details about his products, as well as solid instructions on how to install.
I also purchased and installed one of his pedal assemblies with relative ease (need to be careful when you cut into the floorboard of your car...).
Nick is active responding with others on ClubCobra at times.
His email is streetcobra@roadrunner.com - best of luck on your upcoming project! George

Actually, Nick's company is Acton Custom Enterprises - not sure why it came up as Acton Custom Enterprises Custom Metal for Cobra's...

I checked Nicks website first and didn't see anything about dropped foot boxes . I did see what appear to be standard? Also only saw info on floor mounted pedal assemblies. Not sure if floor mounted will work with under car exhaust. There doesn't seem to be much info available. I'm trying to avoid mistakes that somebody may have already made.

Nicks website has a whole page of Contemporary parts and upgrades that hasn't been loaded yet. There's a few pics here http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/cont...nt-brakes.html
I have seen a dropped footbox floor with hung pedals in a late CCX.
If you are doing undercar exhaust it's really easy to get it around the pedal box.

Mick, I like the reversed idea because it moves the master cylinders further from the headers for one. Then second, it offers more protection from being hit by road debris. This setup should be easy to shield.
Thanks for the link, I will mark these threads myself.

Well I think I speak for most of us when I suggest that Nick should get off his butt and post these Contemporary parts so that we can all enjoy looking....or something. Something for him to do in his spare time. ( Nick, I hope you're smiling.. )

Thanks Dan, I know you CCX boys are a hard core crew and I'll take a little arse kicking if it moves me in the right direction;-) That was why I took my car for a fall (trailer) ride to show before and after winter progress. If I haven't made good progress I deserve any ribbing I get right?!

If you guys want to see a picture of anything specific let me know. I'll throw it in the CCX forum if it's not there already.

Nick,
I'd really like to see installation pix of the firewall hung pedals vs. floor mount and installation of the dropped footboxes.

Hey John, you've seen pics of the floor mounted. I'll see if I can find some of the hung pedals. There's one of the dropped footbox with hung pedals here 100_3131 - Club Cobra Photo Gallery
You can see the edges of the dropped box where it's been trimmed.
