Contemporary Brake Master Cylinder
I have a Contemporary with Girling brake master cylinder from what looks like a Triumph Spitfire. The assembly manual calls out the specific Girling part no. and in my research it shows as a early to mid 70's Spitfire part. Has anyone changed out their brake master cylinder to a remote reservoir style? My setup is the overhung pedal arrangement. I want to upgrade to a remote reservoir style master cylinder since access to the reservoir is somewhat limited. I cannot seem to find anything that works. Any suggestions?

Willwood, and you won't have to use special brake fluid.

What Wilwood master cylinder did you use? The only one I have found has a 1" bore and I don't think that will generate enough line pressure. Thanks for any info. Tim |
I used a master cylinder from a late 70's mazda 626 or 828 I think . Remote reservoir I used PVC cleaner cans, drilled a whole in the bottom and put a fitting in. Looks just like the Girling original and works great cost $5 dollars.

They have 5/8 to 1 1/8'' Stock set would be about a 3/4 I guess
