CCX #3117 is for sale
Early 80's built Contemporary 427 Cobra CCX# 3117. I am forced to sell my Cobra that I bought in 2007. I love it but two kids in college at the same time makes selling a necessity. The car was titled in 1984 originally. I have invested $11K in upgrades including new Tremec TKO 600 Trans and a complete engine rebuild. The 1964 Fe 427 block was sonic tested and the engine retains the original Lemans rods. The motor is a 427 center oiler with a High capacity Canton oil pan with bottom sump and FE windage tray. I added Edelbrock Keith Kraft Stage II heads, an Irsky custom Ground cam shaft, Mcleod Duel friction 800 series clutch disk, Griffin custon radiator, Quickfuel Q series 750CFM Drag carb. The block deck was milled and the cylinders were honed. Sonic check of the block showed it to be in excellent shape.
This car is mechanically SOLID and FAST with and estimated 500 HP. I recently installed a Optima battery. All it needs is someone who loves to drive a fast, great looking car. No disappointments. Asking $37,500. inquiries to: jeffnelson1523@yahoo.com detailed pictures and cold start video available

Depending on how "solid" your paperwork is to outline, confirm & prove it was 1984 build & registered.
You might get a nibble from over this side of the pond.
As it could plausibly be legally registrable.
If I wasn't committed with funds elsewhere, I'd certainly have a nibble.
Good luck with kid's college, and the sale.

Sounds great, if it was just not for the Ford engine it would be great. Just kidding sounds like a great ride and with Contemporary you can not go wrong. Best of luck.

Jeffnel, congrats on selling the car. Sorry I missed the thread, another member is looking for one like this. Looks like we might be starting our own collection of Contemporary's Downunder. Are you able to tell us what State it went to?

I believe the expression the Aussies used to use was "PISS OFF, YANK".. So please allow me to return the sentiment with the greatest tongue in cheek smile I can muster... Right now it's 106F in my back yard..

Never used that expression myself Danr55, but i'll cop that on the chin with a grin, and put another shrimp on the barbecue for you, well more like lobsters, a result of the nuclear tests in the Pacific years ago I suspect.
106F ... hope you've got an ice cold Bud in your hand.

Hey Jeff.nel are you able to tell us which state or city your cobra went to, or are you sworn to secrecy ? Or is that not he done thing on these forums? I apologise if that's the case, just curious.
