Wilwood Brakes
I have a question about the Wilwood brake option that Contemporaries were offered with. Was the option just a Wilwood caliper for the E-type solid rotor or was it vented rotors and Wilwood calipers? Thanks.

Don't know what Contemporary offered for sure....I have GM/Chevy front rotors (they fit the Jag spindles) with an adapter plate to position the Wilwood caliper (4 piston) over the ventilated rotor. I had to shim the calipers to get them centered.

I got a funny story. I was talking to a guy yesterday about fixing something else for my car and after talking to him for about five minutes found out it was Peter Bayer (original founder of Contemporary.) He said they were Wilwood Superlites with XJ6 rotors. I just need to figure out the part # of the caliper. Anyone know what it is?

Wilwoood's website is really good to help you find what you want...even their tech support is great. I looked for my calipers on the site; but they aren't in their catalog anymore (Dynalite II). Pick your rotor size (diameter and thickness) and talk to the tech people.

There are options on which size pistons you use. I have a sheet to plug in your numbers and mathematically/hydraulically balance the front and rear brakes. Jags on the rears?
