I got an email back from someone, I would imagine it was the owner, letting me know that this car is still for sale. I'm tempted to investgate further, but somehow it just doesn't sound real..

I got a second response from a man named Mark Mirsalov. This is what he says:

"Due to the high volume of internet scams, I give you the chance to receive the car at your home address BEFORE i receive my money for it. I appreciate your interest but I want to let you know that the car is located in Poland. I purchased the car in US and I moved to Europe, in Poland the law is different recording the registration of a vehicle that is outside of Europe, it is expensive and difficult to register this car in Poland, this is the reason of selling. Instead of letting it sit in the garage I've decided to sell it at low price.
I can ship the car to you, also I can be responsible for the transport cost and you'll pay after inspection. The car looks and runs fantastic! Within 19 days you will get the car and you will have a period of 2 days to inspect the car and when the inspection period ends, if everything is fine you can make the payment.
CLEAN TITLE IN HAND, NO LIENS OR ISSUES!"

Sounds too good to be true. He will ship at his expense, from Poland to Arizona? Got to be a hook.. someplace..

Are you going to string him alongside for a while?
Tell him you have just murdered someone and wish to assume his identity. Tell him you will provide the (inevitably requested) drivers licence and credit card details, but you’ll just have to work out how to remove the blood stains first.
Ask him if he has any tips for this.
Tell him you’ll provide the shipping address as soon as you have ‘removed’ the rest of his family.

This does not ad up, the seller replied last night via email, he asked me about my bank info and if I was taking a loan to purchase this car??? Who cares, maybe I want to pay cash. I think it smells like rotten fish and probably is rotten fish...

I would be somewhat concerned about the Poland connection. If he lives there and the car is there and is still registered here in the states how did he drive it there. Also how did he keep it registered here in the states. There are several things that I would want to know before I bought that car.

The description of the car is a huge red flag to me. Air bags? Side air curtains? Navigation? Power windows and door locks? ABS, tilt wheel, tinted glass, power mirrors, sunroof/moonroof.... seriously? He could at least try to make the description sound like the car in the picture...

So, I have it shipped to an addressed unrelated to me, I have 2 days to inspect it. That gives me time to be on the other side of the country.

Will I then pay him when the period ends, or will I scam him back?
