Your exposure will increase by an order of magnitude if you post on www.cobracountry.com. There are lots of readers and writers here but not really many buyers.

I agree but when I talked with him he has some requirements as to photography that would be very difficult for me to achieve. I don't have access to a professional photographer nor can I haul it all to a background that would enhance the appeal to buyers.

Here is a suggestion regardless of where you try selling it. Add pictures and a price. You have neither in your ad. You mention no lowballers, but I have seen prices on here that are ridiculously high and some that are pretty low. Put a figure and say Best Offer.

Yes I agree but with several different option type "packages" it's tough to set a price, so I wasn't sure on exactly how to list it all. I'll take some pictures of the rolling chassis and parts included and post that and the price for it alone. Would that make sense? I can probably get it all sorted out by tomorrow,,I hope.

I didn't look at the ad (since I'm a reader/writer and not a buyer) but cobracountry deals in complete cars not uncompleted kits, so sorry for the misdirection.

Still the advice that ads without pictures and a price aren't going to get much activity is true.

You might try your local craigs list too.

Here's a link to make it easy for people: PhotoPost Classifieds - Contemporary Cobra - Powered by PhotoPost Classifieds but not having pictures, and just putting "best offer," is really no way to sell it.

John, you are selling your car? That is a major surprise. I hope everything is OK and it's just a time thing.

Dan it's a combination of a lot of things. I've had it for sale off and on a couple of times but not really SERIOUSLY. This time it's serious and I've had a couple offline guys interested and will know by Friday or Saturday. One of the guys I don't have much faith in but the other seems pretty serious. If he decides it's not for him, then I'll start the all out FOR SALE with pix and prices. I have so much stuff for it that it's hard to put a hard line price on it. I gathered parts for the way I wanted to build it and maybe not how anybody else wants to build one. I got some very good marketing suggestion from another forum member this morning. He is pretty well respected so I'll probably follow his lead in the sale of it.

Good luck with it, my friend. If you sell the car but not all the extras, let me know what you have left over. Never know what improvements I may need to make.
