big block Contemporary Help Please
I need to measurements on the drivers side of a Big Block FE Contemporary
1) front of drivers head to the back of the shock post 2) front side of motor mount post to back side of the shock post thnx for your help jon |

Bob, I’ve installed the motor with the correct motor mounts and installed the headers. The headers are don’t line up with the cut out for the side pipes and they are 1.5” too far froward. I wanted to confirm that the engine was in the correct position. I do have another set of motor mounts that will move the motor back 1/2-3/4”. The headers came with the car but not sure they are for another kit.

Depending on which way the motor mount is flagged towards the front or rear will determine which motor mounts you need.
Flagged to rear federal or doan 2222 &2223 flagged to the front TRW 8 2240 and TRW 8 2241 |
I have around 2.5" from the front of the head to the rear edge of the upper control arm post
