What Size Torsion Bar?
 
For a Contemporary with a FE what diameter torsion bar are you using? I have .86 and they are too stiff. There are two other options .756 or .80. If you have a Contemporary with a FE what size are you using?

No experience with a CCX, but if my calculations are correct a 0.756" bar has 77% of the torsional stiffness of a 0.86", while the 0.80" is 87%.

If you have or had a FE engine in a Contemporary do you know what diameter torsion bar you used? I have .87 and wondering how much of a difference there would be with a stock (.765) bar?

Not a Contemporary, but I did just go down and measure mine for you on my ERA. The front sway bar is 15/16ths. The ERA manual lists the rear sway for a Jag rear as 3/4" but my ERA outboard braked rear has a sway bar that I measured at 1.01" for what that's worth. The rear sway is adjustable by setting tube sliders on the end of the bar at different spots.
