Flow = HP and Torque for 351C Boss/CJ/HO/2V
Cheap flow kit for those trying to increase usable power and torque.
http://www.knfilters.com/Racing/stubstacks.htm http://www.mpgheads.com/portplate/portplatedetail.htm In addition add a 1" phenolic carb spacer, ported plenum, aids in package and insulates carb from becoming a heat sink. In total for under $200 bucks you have noticeable gains. Planned project for me! I will post pics as I get to it in the near future. |
Jeff,
I would do some checking on those portplates, maybe on the 335 forum. I have heard they really do nothing but I can't say from experience never having tried them. That is why I suggest the 335 forum for answers. They were big when they first came out but I really hear of no one using them anymore, In fact I have seen the for sale on ebay often. I always questioned don't you have to fill the intake also for a smooth transition into the intake port of the head? Otherwise the air coming through the bottom of the intakes port will hit the plate an impead some of the flow. Anyway that is my thought on them and I could be wrong but it is always good to check these things out. Rich Carlisle |
