Contemporary Cobra frame #'s/body #'s
I described to 767Jockey where the frame # is located. This # is also the date the frame was manufractured.
He e-mailed me the information back. I will let him give out that information, if he would like to join in. The frame # Contemporary stamped on to the early cars is located on the 4" frame rail. Drivers side, just above the lower control arm, and below the upper control arm. My frame # 072082 or 07-20-82. My car also has a foil sticker under the dash, just below the cowl on the passsnger side of the firewall. It reads body #106. How many other cars are there that are numbered this way? Don |
My car is 062482, never found the body# but it was no doubt from the first mold as is yours Don.

121281-3, body #112. Third frame made on December 12, 1982. One day it'll drive again, hopefully sooner than later.

mine is 120281-5, 12/2/81-5. i think the 5 means the fifth chassie built that week. body sticker has been removed. getting close to being back on the road.
