Cobra Restorers Trunk Stay

Hi Doug, I have posted two pictures of the Cobra Restorers Trunk stay in my gallery photos. It comes with the two brackets you see riveted in place. I slotted the body hoop mount to put the holes in the center of the round hoop and filed a flat on it so it would not rock. The other end has a contour that is reverse of what is needed to follow the trunk lid frame contour. Rather than try to get the reverse contour, I opted to flatten it out and use Well Nuts to take up any misalignment to the fiberglass frame. They hold good in fiberglass and give it some cushion. The way Contemporary did it is described in the manual and would involve drilling the rivets, fabricating a bracket, and bolting thru the frame parallel to the surface. Jeff's picture shows this detail.
