Rear Sway Bar

Doug, here is the information I have on the rear sway bar for Contemporary Cobras. The original Jag XKE bar naturally fits the IRS it came from. It is 37.5" outside at the link points and 40.75" outside closer to the bends. The distance from the center of bushings to center of link mounts is 8.5". It is .68" diameter. The first frame mount points are 6.875" up the rear tube from the intersection of the rectangular member the IRS mounts to. The second is 2.5" above the first, although your bushing mounts may vary if aftermarket. I don't know if they used the stock end links, maybe someone can shed light on this!
Contemporary offered a .75" H.D. rear sway bar to go along with it's .75" H.D. front sway bar. This rear bar had 90 degree bends, which probably gives more tire clearance than the stock Jag unit. To mount to the frame, use Rivnuts (also known as rivet nuts) or nutsert inserts (JB Stainless). Other club members may have a good source for the bars or fasteners. Good luck,
Art

Thanks, Art. Can any of you other CCX guys add anything to this? Any one have an old sway bar, mounts, or pictures of the bar?
