A special thanks to Nick for the fine craftmanship. They were a few bumps in what was anticipated to be an easy install, but we finally got it figured out and got the job done. Looks pretty sweet and, most inportant, it doesn't leak.

Jeff, That looks great. What is the capacity? Does it have a bladder?

Dan, the capacity is approx. 21 gallons with no bladder. Nick, aka Mickmate, built it and feels confident with his welding skills. If he's confident, I'm confident. He set it up with a sending unit and rollover vent. Pretty much just plug and go.

Jeff G, you mean there's something you haven't done to your car yet? Wish I had a cool pedal box and some kick ass brakes.

Hey Jeff, nice job on the install. Glad to see that worked out. If you get a minute I'd like to measure how much and in what direction the offset is and the height to the bottom of the filler. That way I could either move or angle the fill tube on the next one. If you need help aligning what you have or anything else with that beast just let me know.
Dan custom made bladders are available and are a good idea for road racing but that really does a number on the cost. I believe the tanks I'm building are stronger and superior to any factory offering as they have baffles welded inside that really stiffen them up. I can understand your concerns after what you just went through.
Cheers

I got lucky and found an old Contemporary custom tank. I've had it sent to Safe Fuel to have a bladder installed. When it comes back, then the tough part will start.. I'll let you know how it shakes out. Why don't one of you guys buy the hard top so I can pay for the fuel tank? That would be a great jesture and it would go a long way toward being comfortable and cozy next fall. I hear it gets cold up there in New England around mid October.
