Small parts needed for Jaguar rear

I am missing the small grease caps that fit into the holes on the aluminum hubs on the Jag rear setup. They're about the diameter of a nickel or so, and have a dome top with a small hole drilled in them. They cover the hole that is drilled into the aluminum hub housings. I know this isn't a great description of the parts needed but I can't think of another way to describe them. Does anyone have a pair of these laying around that they'd part with, or know where I can get them from? I usually buy Jag suspension parts from SNG Barrett but these caps don't show up in their catalog. Anyone have a pair laying around or know where I can find them new? I can't imagine that these things are very expensive but I don't want to assemble without them. Thanks!

Put Grease fittings in the holes

767Jockey Doug I used grease fittings in these 2 holes. I also shoot some wheel bearing grease in there. This makes it easier for the parts to come apart without the big hammer theory. Rick L.

Rick,

How did you adapt the holes for grease fittings? The holes themselves are pretty big, did you install the fittings into the caps that I'm missing?

Tom, These look perfect. Just this morning as I was flying out in the middle of nowhere I was actually thinking of looking into having just such a item machined up on a custom basis. Are these guys at CWI still in business? I remember trying to contact them a while back and had no response in many tries. Anyone know if they're still around? I'm out of the country right now but I guess I'll give them a try when I get back in. Great idea, Tom - thanks!

Jeff, If I could figure out posting pics I would. I emailed the pics to Nick - hey Nick, can you post them here for me for all to see? Thanks!

mickmate 01-13-2009 04:16 PM

I'm as useless at that stuff as you are. I did cut your Turkey Pan apart yesterday and made the new bottom. It's looking better than the other one...........
