I use 20w-50 Redline synthetic ... per recommendation of the engine builder. But I change it every winter (about 2000 miles). I am willing to bet that changing the oil and filter at least once a year has more effect on the longevity of an engine as compared to the oil type and brand.

I use amsoil 20/50 racing and have in my 427 s/o for the last 12 yrs the motor is a soild lifter motor. I had the pan off this winter to replace it and the motor was spotless inside. Amsoil has address the zinc problem.
