After years of ownership I finally found the serial # on my Contemporary. It was an early car and had no id plate. The number I located on the left frame rail is 090381 1 and if anybody can tell me if it has any meaning or what the various numbers may indicate please reply.

I am not sure anyone can, my car is 062482, also an early car. I will try to get a better understanding of this but keep in mind there is not much to go on these days.

I did get a response from Peter Bayer regarding some history around our cars, at least until the second and last owner took over. I will post under CCX History thread as I want to sit Peter down and get an interview recorded so we can all separate urban legend from reality.
