Lesson learned

As some of you know, I've been chasing a shake in the front end of my car for some time now. Well, I've found the cause.... and it has nothing to do with the front end. I had a warped hub on the right rear axle. I've found a replacement for it and should have the car together in time for the Rt. 66 fun run next weekend..

Just a hint, things are not always what they seem..

Thanks, that's the kind of thing that can drive one nuts and be expensive to troubleshoot! Back in the 80's when all I know about cars was where to put the key, I had a right rear knocking noise in my 1962 Jag Mk II sedan and no amount of shops' "fixing" of the rear end or suspension made any difference. A seasoned pro in Walnut Creek at Perry's Jaguar asked for a ride before tackling the problem and a mile or so down the road announced "you have a loose engine mounting bolt"...... and proceeded to fix it which took care of the "rear end" knock! .... the value of experience, thanks for sharing yours Dan:)

Dirk
