Yes the original Daytonas had vents on the rear, but are covered with plates.

Hey Buzz, thanks for posting the pictures so nicely so we can all compare and dream...
How about posting the pictures of the rebuilt AC A98 Coupe? The original I mean, not the replica built in Australia (It is beautifully done too) It is by far my favorite and it has the great history of (in)famously going over 180 mph on the road in England.
