With a better tuner ( and fuel injection ) the Daytona would have stomped the little guts out of the Viper.

I think horsepower figures are sometimes seen as the only factor in how fast a car will be when in fact there are many, many factors that go into how fast a car will be, especially at the track.
I think the Daytona did outstandingly well against a very fast modern car and there is no shame in losing that h2h |
