Super Coupe Back on the Auction Block
 
I was preparing for my trip to Scottsdale next week, and browsing through all of the online previews for the various classic car auctions that are taking place, and discovered that the Type 65 427 Coupe is going back up for auction:

Didn't we just see this car get sold at auction last year? Anybody remember the price?

Did Micheal Schumacher win that auction ? It appears so. Wonder how much it set him back.

The Super Coupe gets auctioned off this week at the Russo and Steele auction in Scottsdale, so I think that website got their info screwed up with regards to which car Schumie bought.

From what I understand (from another thread on the subject), Schumacher acquired some Daytona Coupe replica that was built by some well known French fabricator and builder. Kind of like a European Mike McClusky I guess.

I saw that at SAAC 30 in California. Didn't it sell before for something like $6 mil?

It's changed hands quite a few times since Craig Sutherland restored the car back in '81, and I can't speak to the various selling prices each time, but the last time it sold I don't think it crossed the $1.5 million mark.
