Starting Problems

I have Superformance's 0019 Daytona Coupe. About a year ago, I started having problems starting the car. After activating the key fob, turning the ignition key on, pushing the clutch in, and activating the "Start" toggle switch, nothing would happen. When the ignition was turned on, I could clearly hear the fuel pump come on. Pumping the clutch a few times, turning the ignition key off and on, activating the start switch etc would finally get the engine to turn over. When I would try to start the car within ~45 seconds of the engine turning over, it would start normally. If I waited longer than 45 seconds, it would not start.
After talking with Dennis about this, it was suggested I bypass the fey fob lock out, which I did. The car, however, still has the same problem, and I have only been able to get her started once in the last 4-6 months. The battery is fine.
Dennis also suggested I bypass the clutch lockout, which I have not done as this seems to be a bit more difficult.
Any thoughts/ideas as to how I can get this fixed?
Thanks.

Do you have a volt meter? If you do, you can test each switch individually and see if one of them is intermittent. You can also check power going to the starter solenoid and see if power is making it to the starter. Any of the switches could be bad, the solenoid could be bad, or the starter could be bad. A meter will allow you to rule stuff out. A schematic from SPF would help - even if someone just hand draws it. Then you'll know how the system is set up and what to look for.

Have you ruled out a grounding issue? A loose ground could cause intermittent gremlin too. The volt meter is an excellent suggestion and can help isolate the problem quickly.
