That thing is gorgeous and amazingly pristine! Hardly looks driven..
So, if I read this right, this is a rebodied 289 Cobra? Still seems like a great price for this vehicle.

According to my book "The First Forty Years" CSX2501 was born 6-07-64 in silver with black trim and delivered to Los Angeles CA. A cobra turned coupe, sorta familiar story. Guess that it's as close to the 6 originals as you can get for much less.

You could have purchased this one for $300K the first time it sold with a Daytona Coupe body, and with A/C, too. Interesting history in the new SAAC Registry.

Nice photos. They were working real hard to get 198 to be on display with the coupe, after some research the decision was made to bring it back to California.
