Top Loader Drive Gear
I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what drive gear I should have in my toploader. It is a HEH-CG code C/R 31 spline box with the large input shaft (originally out of a 66 Galaxie 428 I believe). My speedo input is on the left side of the box (i.e. on the drivers side if it were still in the original car). I can't get enough access to see it myself and would like to avoid having to remove the box just to have a look. Thanks in advance.

It looks like you have or will need either the yellow 7 tooth or the brown 8 tooth depending on your diff ratio --- for more info see

As mentioned above, my speedometer input is on the left side of the box. I'm having clearance issues trying to get the late model mustang driven gear/speedo sensor in the box and be able to run the cable to the speedo. I was wondering whether there exists a right angle speedo driven gear adapter that fits in to the gearbox so that I will have sufficient clearance for the speedo cable? Thanks again for your help.
