Thank you Cindy and Jack!

Had a great time at the DSCC BBQ today. Cindy and Jack were great hosts and the folks that attended were the greatest. Despite a few showers I had a great time (how many times can you put the word "great" in a post:confused: ). The chicken wings were fantastic (see I learned a new word). Jerry Rowley's new powerplant was awesome (oh no...now I sound like Jeff Gordon):JEKYLHYDE Anyway...if you weren't there, you missed quite a get together.

It doesn't take much to Thrill Lee if fast cars(Cobras) are involled and Food. This is one of the many reasons the DSCC was put together. I know everyone had a great time. I want to see that new engine also, Jerry. I saw your next engine on HorsePower TV, on Saturday
a 466 crate motor that put out 455 RWHP with 468lbs of torque. I wish I could have made the event, if it would have been a little closer I would have. I almost had the wife ready with her new Camaro convertable.

Dan, the HorsePower TV motor would be a step down for Jerry! I have never been in a car that pulled so strong all the way through the gears. We were up to 11? mph in about a 1/4 mile and the motor was just getting wound up. When it gets broken in, watch out:eek:

Lee,

I don't think Jerry ever broke in the first engine:D . I aways told you the bigger the better. I just know Southern Automotive has engines with a lot more HP, and we will be going up there next year. I want to help Jerry pick out the next motor.:3DSMILE:

Thanks to Jack & Cindy!

Thanks to Jack & Cindy for hosting a very nice (see, new words Lee) party & BBQ! Trudy and I had a wonderful time and certainly enjoyed the good friends and the great (oh,oh) food. I wish more could have braved the weather, it wasn't that bad. Kim and I put the tops and side curtains on once, but they weren't needed at the end.

As far as the engine goes Dan, this is it. Southern Auto only makes one bigger and Toycollector has it! We did pull over 115 in a quarter mile without going over 5000 rpm. Any more power I would have to put "wheely stands" on the rear of the car!

Jack ran his car last friday night and turned 91 in the 1/8 mile with his small block engine, so there are plenty of fast Cobras around. In Gainesville we will see how we do when the road turns a corner!

I posted a page on my web site with the pictures I took. Goto http://www.jerryrowley.com and click on JACK'S 2001 DSCC BBQ.

Thanks for the pictures Jerry, for those that could not attend. With 3 times the members now then our first outing I expect a big turn out in Atlanta. Well, next April I will get to see your new engine and hopefully Toy Collectors. You might even get to see Lees, Rubles and my Cobra. I hope everyone shows for this next big annual event.

Dan
