Is the cage 4130 or mild steel?

Rickd 05-29-2011 06:43 AM

Bailey - is that a scratch built chassis? Whose body? Is that a Mr. Bruce top? Where is the car being assembled? That your shop? Would love to stop by and visit, as I am in South Florida.

Bailey 05-29-2011 07:28 AM

Hey Rick, the car is a Backdraft, frame, suspension, brakes, removable body, and top. She's come along a bit since the pictures, I'll post some more mid next week. These cars will be set up to easily run a standard 302/351 configuration, or the one of the new Coyote motors from Ford, or a BB for that matter.
The additional steel work is being done by a race car fabricator in Martin County, and the cars will be available through Backdraft very shortly. There are two currently in production, and I am lucky enough to be in line for one of them.
If you are ever up in the Palm Beach/Martin county area, you are more than welcome to drop by.

Richard,
That is one heck of a cage. It almost looks like a circle track stock car. Can't wait to see more pictures.
Take care

I saw her today hell of a cage well thought out. Lots of room for driver and driver actually sits straight behind steering wheel and foot box. Can't wait to see the process as she comes together.
This guy believes in safety first right next to triangulation.
Problem is now R Bailey is going to probably be even quicker, now we'll never catch him :-o
