Reptile Roundup Track day

Info please...
Earlier, maybe a month ago or so, I thought that I read the track day at Palm Beach would be around $35.00. I looked tonight and I see that it's $300.00, just like a normal track day cost. What did I miss? Is this correct?
Thx

The track day is being run by PDG, Events | not the DSCC. Most of the Club track days run around 300.00 a day.

I too was disappointed at the cost, although that may not be the biggest hurdle for me.
As I would be in the "Beginner" class, I would have to have an instructor ride with me.
My car has only the driver roll bar, none for passenger/instructor, which is usually a requirement at most HPDE events. I explored PDG's websight but found no mention of rollbar requirements. I'll have to give them a call tomorrow.

I believe the track days in the past were very low cost as well.

Track days for the Roundup in the past were very inexpensive because the club rented the Gainesville track, and heavily subsidized the expenses.
This year we are trying something different. A much bigger more expensive facility, and extended quality track time.
Just adds a little variety to the annual event.
Looking forward to seeing some familiar faces again.

Talked to PDG today, and full width or dual rollbars are required with instructor onboard.
Maybe next year !

Another option you have is to register for their intermediate group which does not require an instructor.
Typically with a PBIR event, PDG will only have two groups, Novice/ Intermediate, and Advanced/ Intermediate, which will give you the option of being able to drive in either. That way if you want to drive on the novice group without an instructor, it is possible
Personally just for selfish reasons, I really want to see your Kirkham!!

Baily: Have not received a PM from you.
PDG's info page for this event doesn't show :Novice/Intermediate class. If there was a way around it, the guy I talked to at PDG would have told me, as he was trying to figure a way to get me on the track. I have participated in many driving events over the years in various sports cars and I would feel comfortable on a road course with any car but my current one for two reasons: the $$$$$$ invested and the fact that it spun on me comming out of a round-about at 20-30 mph ! That was with old BfG "s which have been replaced with coopers.

Man, that yellow car looks good. Attendance this year looks great. The track event is sold out, and registration for the track event is now closed.
Looking forward to seeing everyone again.
I will have a silver and black #29 Mustang at PBIR, come over and say hello
