When I woke to temperatures at only 41 degrees I thought the cold weather would keep people away, Boy was I wrong. I guess temperatures in the forties were like a tropical heat wave to all the snowbirds that recently flew down from -13 temperatures up north. By the time we got to Naples the throngs of 30,000 were already on the streets, & by noon I’m predicting 40-50 thousand people in attendance, boy this was crazy.My day was cut short when my camera died before I had gotten all the way down the street, to finish taking pictures. It all worked out fine though because Russ who came along had already thrown in the towel as the crowd had just over whelmed him & he could not wait until my phone call to get back together & head for our car for an earlier departure than normal to head back home. My buddy Russ did get to see all the cars but he really wishes people with buggies with their dogs inside would keep their pets at home.
