Here is the latest NOAA discussion on the forecast. Gives you the inside the forecaster' head look at why they are forecasting the way they do. As a pilot trained in weather theory, I have followed the frontal patterns and it looks like low probability of spotty rain on Friday and the cold front to the west will bear watching for it's impact on Saturday. That said, hoping for the best tomorrow and on Saturday. See y'all there. MOISTURE WILL RETURN TO NORTH GA TODAY IN THE FORM OF CLOUDS. PRECIP WILL ALSO RETURN TO NORTH GA BUT WILL LIKELY WAIT UNTIL THIS AFTERNOON AND THEN ONLY A SLIGHT CHANCE. SCATTERED SHOWERS ALREADY JUST SOUTH OF CWA AND THESE WILL ADVECT INTO CENTRAL GA BY ISSUE TIME. WILL KEEP POPS GOING CENTRAL GA ALL DAY. DRY AIR BEGINS TO MOVE UP ERN GA TONIGHT AND FRIDAY AND THIS WILL LIKELY LIMIT PRECIP TO SCATTERED WHILE WRN GA WILL SEE MORE WIDESPREAD PRECIP TONIGHT AND FRIDAY. BEST SUPPORT FOR PRECIP WILL BE FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND WILL ALSO MENTION SCATTERED THUNDER. MOISTURE WILL SPREAD ACROSS EASTERN GA FRIDAY NIGHT. COLD FRONT WILL REMAIN WEST OF GA FRIDAY NIGHT AND WITH ETA FORECASTING DEWPOINTS IN THE UPPER 50S TO LOWER 60S 12Z SAT. WILL THEREFORE RAISE MINS TO 50S NE MOUNTAINS AND LOWER 60S ELSEWHERE. |
