I just saw this in Sundays paper a cartoon by Doug MaGregor, but it's the caption that is note worthy.
A Notice to All Guests Up North:
If you haven't called your Southwest Florida host by now to reserve a room you may be sleeping out on the lanai this Winter.

Only 74 days till April 12-14, sign up now so we can count you in at our 2nd annual meeting. As of yesterday I signed up the 222 member to our club. I would like to see and meet each and everyone of you in person, this is the only way, because the space on my lanai is already full. We made this a 3 day weekend to make it worth your time to come from any place in the 8 states that we represent. We can only make our club better if we ALL join in, now is the time. I've BS with many of you on this forum now it's time to meet you face to face. Make your reservations now. Our fellow member Keith has done a great job so far in letting everyone know what is happening.

The car is E-M with C-4 corvette suspension front and rear. The engine started as a 400 SBC the with a .030 overbore and 3.875 stroke, you get 421 inches. Heads are AFR 227 with 2.1 intake and 1.6 exhaust. Fully CNC'd. Lunati crank and Calles 6 inch rods. Ultradyne solid roller cam. .667 lift on intake and exhaust and 267@.050 rockers are Jessel shaft mounted and are 1.55 ratio to make up for what you lose in valve adjustment. Compression is 10.8 and runs on 94 octane pump gas. Intake manifold if Edelbrock Victor and carb is a C & S flowing 900 CFM. Also running a TH350 tranny. Rear gears are\were 3.07 With these gears I ran 10.5's @ 127mph. I've since put in a set of 4.10's but haven't gotten to the track to see a time yet. I know low 10's for sure and possibly 9.90 by the time I get everything dialed in. I run the ET Streets when I go to the drags, I believe they are 9 inch tread. No problem hooking up. 1.50 60' times. shifting at 7200 rpm's.
