The auction has over 4,000 cars. A guy on another website posted this list:

On the auction website, in a sub-auction called On Time, they have an auction selling memorabilia--a Porsche collection and a Shelby American collection, the latter having lots of pictures and you can see the current price for each one. That sale extends to the end of January. Here's the auction description:

https://ontime.mecum.com/auction/she...ons/Here's a partial description
of the 63 Items: 63

The Shelby American / Le Mans - Sports Car Racing Collection was curated by a lifelong California-based sports car racing enthusiast with a focus on eye-catching vintage racing posters from around the world. The assemblage encompasses a broad range of unique collectibles sure to appeal to both sports car and racing fans and followers, including some of the rarest Shelby American items from the company's founding through 1966, as well as Le Mans photographs from noted photographer Dave Friedman. This special collection is full of desirable items that will delight enthusiasts of the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans race, Ferrari sports racing cars and the most discerning Shelby American collectors alike.

This is the actual auction site so you can follow bids:https://ontime.mecum.com/auction/she...20/bidgallery/

In Mecum's Road Art category, there's two canvas prints--a shelby portrait and Comp 289 portrait--both scheduled to cross the block Jan.9th

Most people find it quite distasteful when you use someone elses hard work and post it as your own:

Enough said

I think he qualified the list as not being his own quite well in his final sentence.

I was thinking the same, he wasn't claiming the fame for the work.
In all honesty i wouldn't have seen or read it without Historybuff posting it on Clubcobra...I personally have never heard of the SAAC forum or site, maybe its geared towards Original Shelby Owners

Thank you Mr Historybuff

Guess I'm a little more sensitive to such things, as I had a similar "content borrower/reposter" use an article I wrote 20 years ago, without my permission, or a reference to myself as the author. For someone else to repost another users hard work/content, without giving credit, at least to me, is not taken well.

Mr Wyss above has his own works published, I'm certain if the shoe was on the other foot, he too would not like being on the other end of the same scenario.

But HistoryBuff did not post something someone else wrote but what someone else has posted. And made a statement that made that really clear.

1985 CCX 01-06-2023 06:31 AM

I thank you for the list
Will help me follow the aution

BTW CSX3063 appears to have been removed from the Registry after a lengthy discussion as to its origin. Started as a Ghia ... Should have stayed one...
S244.1 - 65 Cobra 427 # CSX3063 https://www.mecum.com/lots/FL0123-53...obra-roadster/
They claim that but they also claim it as the last chassis - Cobra. Will be interesting to see if it hits reserve as the last dealer selling it claimed it was the last S/C and >$1.5MM

My guess it will stall at $325k, long but interesting story car.
It had a post here long ago.

You would really have to be in my old shoes to understand where I am coming from. The easiest way to explain it would be the old saying "credit, where credit is do". A simple link to the original post, or a mention of who made the original post and where it was taken from, would have negated my posts on this thread, and this general discussion as a whole. Once again, History Buff, AKA: Wallace Wyss, has published articles and books out in the world, he of all people should know, and follow the proper etiquette of using other peoples published (posted) works, just like he would want if someone used his posts (essentially published online in this case) and hard work.

The guy that compiled the list and originally posted it on the SAAC site is Brian Littlefield.
There, credit where credit is due.

I simply recorded and had nothing to do with production other than watching.

$825K seems a bargain - yes?

1985 CCX 01-08-2023 10:54 AM

Tom

That’s $907,500 with fee.
Average I would say.
No race history
Not concours level
Nothing but street car
I think good for buyer and seller.

No?

1985 CCX 01-13-2023 03:30 PM

CSX3270 sold at $1,300,000 plus fee

Im curious, in the 4000 continuations is there a number in the sequence that lets you know if the car is an Aluminum or Fiberglass body?
Thanks

1985 CCX 01-14-2023 09:11 AM

As I understand it no, easy to tell visually.
1) typical glass car no Ferrell in door
2) glass car dash has angle versus a roll.
There are a number of other slight differences.

kanuck 01-14-2023 09:13 AM

No there is not and to top that, a lot of fiberglass cars were rebodied to aluminum

No....

sgianino 01-14-2023 01:23 PM

Tony makes the 3rd No, so its official.....All continuations can be either Fiberglass(Superformance) or Aluminum(Kirkham) But they all have one thing in common , there is a CSX before the 4000 **)
