NEED STATE REPRESENTATIVES-Please Read

We need State Reps for Mississippi, Tennessee and North Carolina. If you live in these states and want to get things moving please let us know.

Also, food for thought; should we have a VP for each State? We can bring this up at our meeting in April.

If the lights stay on in Georgia, we should be able to set up our 2003 year agenda come April. Everone should be thinking about some input in making our club better each year. Well I know there will be more than 10 Cobras and 28 people and with Keith in charge I hear no RAIN. See everyone in April.

What would be asked of a state REP.

Eric :)

State Rep Duties

The main duty of the State Rep is to promote and run club events in the State for local members. This would include: Casual get togethers for a lunch or dinner; Local drag race meets; Cruise-ins to a local spot (Sonic or Burger King, etc.); Caravans to local car shows, etc.

The rep gets these events together by communicating with all State members via email or phone and getting other members to assist in planning and putting on these events.

We are considering making the State Reps Vice Presidents of the DSCC, such that we would have a Vice Pres for each of the eight States we represent in DSCC. This will be decided at the meeting in April in McDonough, GA.

Eric, good question and I hope I gave you a good answer!

Curious ... you didn't mention Georgia. Do we have a state rep here?

PS. Jerry, you got a chance to see my Unique when at SA a few weeks ago. I promised Bill I wouldn't tinker with it anymore, but unfortunately we're working through a fuel pump problem. I did happen to hear a funny story about you though... :D

jerry rowley 02-21-2002 06:45 AM

Yeah, I have a picture of your car which I will post on our web site, but, you have to promise NOT to tell that :funny story" you heard!

The Georgia Rep is Keith McFarland. Even though he lives in SC niw, he visits his old state a lot and is very familiar with all of Georgia.

Jason,

If you want to be state rep in your state, I don't see any problems. Keith could then take over in his new home state, plus when organizing anything locally ever one has to pitch in. As far as a funny story about Jerry, which funny story are you talking about?:D :D

Keith sounds great! :) We haven't had an Atlanta meeting yet that he didn't organize.

Now about that story ..... is it a good picture Jerry? :D

Jerry Cowing 02-21-2002 10:25 AM

Lets just say Jerry's 427 was dieseling. Of course I'd never tell on my Buddy Jerry.

jerry rowley 02-23-2002 01:30 PM

Yeah, it's a great picture! What's with this "dieseling" crap?

Hush hush everyone. We need to save that story for the April meeting  **) **) Make sure your belly muscles can withstand the laughter   --especially if "you know who" tells it.
